Welcome to Dynasty Resources
Dynasty Resources Limited (Dynasty) (ASX:DMA) is implementing its strategic plan to rapidly emerge as an iron ore producer in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Dynasty's flagship Prairie Downs Iron Project
is located southwest of Mt Newman. On less than 10% of its tenement holding, Dynasty has identified a 1.4 billion tonne detrital ironstone deposit and a 23 million tonne hematite deposit.
The economic potential of detrital ironstone deposits (such as owned by Dynasty and Brockman Iron) is becoming more widely recognised - Dynasty’s project is strategically located, see map below. The potential development of this deposit is likely to benefit from a number of economic advantages and its strategic location in the Pilbara.
Dynasty's flagship Prairie Downs Iron Project is located southwest of Mt Newman and recent progress includes:
Drilling extended iron mineralisation by 4 km to the southeast, as well as increasing both grade and tonnage of the resource;
Inferred Resources for the Spearhole Detrital Iron Deposit increased 300% to 1.4 billion tonnes (includes 932 million tonnes at 27% Fe); and
Preliminary test-work has continued to indicate that simple, low-cost processing can upgrade this detrital iron to Direct Shipping Ore (‘DSO’).
Preliminary yields indicate a good probability that a product of >160 million tonnes which could achieve comparable grades near-to Direct Shipping Ore would be recoverable from the higher grade portion of the existing resource (932 million tonnes at 27% Fe).
Dynasty considers there is scope to develop this massive deposit and that there is scope within its vast tenement portfolio in the Prairie Downs area, to find additional ironstone deposits and deposits containing higher grade hematite. Such additional material will enhance the economics of the Spearhole Detrital Iron Deposit.
Exploration includes an intensive reconnaissance effort on these areas to identify targets and to test their potential to host viable deposits.
Dynasty plans to continue investigations covering preliminary mine planning, process-route design, infrastructure, operating costs, capital costs, environment and native title. These investigations will form the basis of a pre-feasibility study.
The potential development of the Spearhole Detrital Iron deposit is likely to benefit from the following economic advantages:
Economies of scale (>15 Mtpa operation);
Low mining costs due to a low to negligible strip (waste to ore) ratio and a free digging, relatively soft, unconsolidated iron deposit; and
Simple physical processing to achieve marketable grades of iron & silica.
Only about 10% of Dynasty’s extensive (~2,000km2) tenements at Prairie Downs have been tested to date.
Dynasty also has a broad portfolio of exploration projects in Western Australia which include tenements prospective for gold, uranium, coal, coal seam gas and other minerals.
Work is to be undertaken on these tenements to advance geological understanding, identify and test targets so as to support future decisions on their development in the best interests of shareholders.
